Decide For Us Privacy Policy
Effective date: August 7, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Decide For Us ("we," "us," or "our") handles information when you use the Decide For Us mobile application (the "App").
Information we handle
Location. With your permission, the App uses your device's precise location while you use the App to provide nearby activity and place recommendations. Location is transmitted securely to our service providers for the real-time request. We do not use location for advertising or sell it.
Purchases and subscriptions. Apple App Store or Google Play processes your payment. We do not receive your full payment-card details. We and our subscription service provider, RevenueCat, receive purchase and subscription status, product purchased, transaction identifiers, and related technical information needed to provide and restore premium access, prevent fraud, provide support, and understand subscription performance.
Age signals on Android. Where required, Google Play may provide an age range, supervision status, or related age signal through the Play Age Signals API. We use these signals only to meet legal requirements and provide age-appropriate access and experiences.
Favorites and app preferences. Favorites and certain preferences are stored locally on your device. No account is required to use the App.
Support communications. If you contact us, we receive the information you choose to provide, such as your email address and message.
How we use information
- Provide nearby recommendations and core App features;
- Process, verify, and restore premium subscriptions;
- Maintain security, prevent fraud, and troubleshoot problems;
- Comply with age-assurance, parental-consent, legal, and regulatory obligations; and
- Respond to support and privacy requests.
Service providers
The App relies on service providers that process information under their own terms and privacy policies, including Apple App Store, Google Play, Google Firebase/Cloud Functions, Google Places, RevenueCat, and providers that deliver images or other App content. These providers may process data in countries other than your own.
Sharing and selling
We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We disclose information to service providers as needed to operate the App, when you direct us to, to protect rights and safety, or when required by law.
Retention and security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, including encrypted network connections. Real-time location requests are intended to be processed transiently; service providers may retain limited operational and security logs. Subscription transaction records may be retained as needed to provide purchases, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and prevent fraud. Local favorites remain on your device until you remove them, clear the App's data, or uninstall the App.
Your choices and requests
You may disable location access in your device settings, although nearby recommendations may not work. You can manage or cancel subscriptions through your Apple App Store or Google Play account. To request access, correction, or deletion of information we control, email us at decideforusapp@gmail.com. We may need information sufficient to verify and fulfill your request. Information retained by Apple, Google, or another provider may need to be managed directly with that provider.
Children
The App is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a child under 13 without legally required consent. Where required, we use platform-provided age or supervision signals to support age-appropriate access and parental-consent requirements. A parent or guardian who believes a child provided personal information may contact us to request its deletion.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the App, our practices, or legal requirements change. We will post the revised policy here and update the effective date.
